We are a family business now in it’s third generation. Established in 1938 by the five O’ Connell brothers, we started out life as electrical contractors and battery specialists in Leitrim Street. We have always been “the battery people”. Under the guidance of the directors Leonard and Gabriel O’ Connell we moved once again in 1999 from Morrison’s Island to the Marina Commercial Park on Centre Park Road, a short distance from the city.

Now renamed O’Connell Batteries Ltd since April 2018, under Director Andrew O’Connell,
we are proud of our tradition of customer service over the past 80 years and are keen to continue to serve the people of Cork for many years to come.
